01 — From idea to skin
Tattoo Schmiede started as an AI experiment and became a private studio tool. Instead of asking people to write perfect prompts, it gives them a controlled workshop: style presets, detail levels, cuteness settings and up to four reference images shape the output before generation starts.
The important shift came later: references became enough on their own. Users could start from a picture, apply a visual language, then iterate through edits instead of regenerating everything from scratch. Every result lands in a personal archive, together with its edit history.
In its early stage, the tool produced more than 1,000 designs. Over 50 of them were not just experiments: they became real tattoos. The system works because it treats image generation as a craft workflow, not as a chat window.
